What DTG is

Direct to Garment: the printer prints water-based ink directly onto the fabric, like on paper. You cannot feel the print with your fingers, the fabric breathes, and the image looks like part of the fabric.

When to choose DTG

  • Photos, illustrations, complex gradients.
  • 95%+ cotton: T-shirts, sweatshirts, hoodies made of cotton fleece.
  • Small runs and one-off designs within a batch.

Limitations

Cotton only: DTG does not hold on synthetics - for those we use DTF. Dark fabric needs a white underlay, which costs more.

Comparison

DTF is more versatile across fabrics and brighter. Screen printing is more cost-effective on runs over 100 pieces with a simple design.

DTG or DTF: which to choose

DTG prints ink directly into the fabric fibers: you cannot feel the print, it holds photographic transitions and suits single items and small cotton batches. DTF transfers the design from film with a heat press: slightly denser to the touch, but it works on synthetics, blends and dark fabrics and is cheaper on runs from 30 pieces. Cotton and photos - DTG; a corporate run on any fabric - DTF.

Artwork requirements

PNG with a transparent background, 300 dpi, RGB. Print area up to 35x45 cm. Fabric: 95%+ cotton, ideally combed or compact combed cotton without fuzz.

Frequently asked questions about DTG

  • How does DTG feel compared to DTF? DTG cannot be felt at all; DTF leaves a thin film layer.
  • How many washes does it last? 30-40 washes at 30 °C inside out without losing color.
  • Do you print on colored cotton? Yes, with a white underlay; the colors come out slightly softer than on white.

Who it suits

Illustrators and brands with photographic designs, small runs and one-off pieces within a batch.

Order examples

  • 40 T-shirts with a team photo for a corporate event.
  • 30 sweatshirts with an artist's illustration for a clothing brand.
  • 100 T-shirts with different designs within one batch for a festival.

What the price depends on

We quote every order from your artwork, not from a price list, because six things change the price:

  • Fabric. Carded, combed or compact combed cotton. They differ in smoothness, density and how the fabric holds up after washing.
  • Sewing. Cut, number of seams, complexity: oversized fit, hood, pockets, cuffs.
  • Threads and trims. Drawstrings, eyelets, zippers, labels.
  • Packaging. Individual bag, box, logo sticker or no packaging.
  • Quantity. From 30 pieces. The larger the batch, the lower the unit price.
  • Decoration method. DTF, DTG, screen printing or embroidery. Each has its own cost and limits on colours and print area.

Send us your artwork and quantity. Standard orders are quoted within one business day.

How to order

  1. Brief. Send your artwork in any format and the quantity. We agree on fabric, colour and size range.
  2. Sample. We sew and print one piece for your approval.
  3. Production. Our own workshop, 15 seamstresses, quality control at every stage.
  4. Check and delivery. Every item is inspected, then delivered in Tashkent, across Uzbekistan and to CIS countries.

Test print and guarantee

Before the run we make a test print on the same fabric that goes into the batch and send you a photo or show it to you live in the workshop. If the result does not match the mockup in color or size, we redo the test print for free. Finished items are checked one by one, and printing defects are replaced at our expense. We deliver in Tashkent ourselves; across Uzbekistan and the CIS - by courier company.
